This is my 19th bike, a 08 Gold Wing. I currently have a 06 Softail Harley, and I was in the market for a new touring bike. I have spent thousands at the Harley shop, (Last two bikes were Harleys) so I went in to look at a new Ultra Classic with a blank check in my pocket. After standing in the showroom for 20 minutes and being ignored, (one other customer in the store) my wife said, “we don't have to put up with this kind of attitude." Improves the overall performance of fuel-injected ATVs equipped with any aftermarket exhaust system. While fuel injection systems are relatively new to ATVs, the Fi2000’s performance tuning success has been proven in motorcycles and translates directly to ATV applications.
The Fi2000 is model-specific, and comes preset from the factory. There are no confusing computer downloads to try to install, no expensive dyno time to pay for and no expensive shop labor. Installation is a simple plug and play; easily accomplished by the home mechanic. Includes O.E.M.-style connectors that snap directly into the fuel injector bodies, or body in a single-cylinder application
Once a rider installs an aftermarket exhaust system or air filter to the stock ATV, the engine flows more air; potentially leaning out the air/fuel mixture more than the stock settings. This can lead to conditions such as overheating backfiring on deceleration, hesitating on acceleration, or an uneven idle.
The Fi2000R digital fuel processor supplies a simple, cost-effective solution. It is actually a digital jet kit, giving tuners and home mechanics the product needed to fine-tune Fl engines quickly, easily, and economically.
Should an owner need to make adjustments over the pre-configured settings, the model-specific fi2000R features 3 adjustment screws--called pots. The left and the center pots, adjust low speed and mid-range settings, and should be able to correct most lean air/fuel mixture problems. The fi2000R also has a third adjustment for high RPM that functions like a main jet on a carburetor. This third tuning pot is for use with engines that have had extensive modifications such as big bore kits, higher compression pistons or heads, or other performance increases where more fuel is required in order for the engine to run properly at full-throttle positions.
